RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll accomplish:
- Ensuring and maintaining the cleanliness of the community facilities and grounds
- Conducting routine inspections to identify and address maintenance issues
- Addressing service requests from residents or management, responding promptly and professionally
- Organizing and directing the functions of vendors to accomplish community goals
- Performing maintenance work and general repairs
- Cleaning in common areas
- Assisting with lifestyle events including event set-up / break-down and clean-up
- Completing minor maintenance and repairs
- Inspecting and operating a wide variety of light equipment and machinery
- Performing a variety of labor-related work tasks
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge and proficiency gained through training and experience in the maintenance field
- A team player who takes pride in their responsibilities and the facilities they oversee
- Excellent communication skills
- Organization, efficiency and the ability to exercise good judgement
- Ability to communicate with managers, residents and peers in a positive and effective way
- Flexibility to work before and after storms for preparation and clean-up
- Entry level computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Valid driver’s license and liability insurance
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical
If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state driver’s license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. You must notify Human Resources immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing. CCMC may periodically review motor vehicle reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical requirements that are essential to the job.
- Lifting: lift up to 50 pounds
- Mobility: Physically able to move a variety of tools / cleaning equipment
- Working conditions: Comfortable working both inside / outside and in various weather conditions. The position is primarily performed onsite.
- Personal protective gear: May require wearing personal protective gear
- Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events
- Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices
- Driving: Ability to operate a vehicle to perform certain job functions. (Please note: We will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving status.)
