Resort Supervisor

About the Community:

This master-planned community will be of one of the largest communities in the state at buildout. It is built around connectivity, community, and sustainability. Members, guests, and staff enjoy several amenities, including a multi-acre lagoon with a white-sand shoreline, an outdoor pool and spa, a rooftop deck, and miles of riding trails for walking, biking, scooters, and golf carts. It is a place where you will find the best of everything that the area has to offer. It will feature residences, shopping, dining, entertainment, commercial, retail, hospitality, and recreation.

The Resort Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the resort’s Lifestyle department. This full-time role involves managing a team of approximately 15–30 staff members, ensuring consistent service delivery, maintaining operational standards, and supporting the overall functionality of the resort. The role requires effective leadership, problem-solving abilities, and experience in hospitality operations within a dynamic environment.

The position also supports organizational values centered on integrity, respect, service, and community, with a focus on enhancing the resident experience and promoting a welcoming atmosphere.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule: Must work weekends and holidays. Regular days off will be Monday and Tuesday, unless Monday is a holiday. The days off will be Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Staff Supervision: Oversee and lead a team of up to 30 staff members throughout different areas of the resort. (Pool and Beach Attendants)
  • Training & Development: Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to ensure all employees meet company standards in customer service, operational procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Guest Relations: Tactfully enforcing Resort policies and procedures while providing the highest level of customer care and resolving customer service concerns in a professional, positive, and enforceable manner.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure that resort operations run smoothly and efficiently, including coordinating schedules, managing staff assignments, and monitoring performance.
  • Quality Assurance: Regularly inspect resort facilities, rooms, and common areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards are met.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and resort policies and procedures. Handle emergencies as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Lifestyle Director, Facilities Director, Aquatics Director, Community Manager, and other departmental supervisors to improve processes and drive resort-wide initiatives for growth and success.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain reports on staff performance, guest satisfaction, inventory usage, and operational issues.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry (preferably in a resort, hotel, or similar environment).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of young adults. The key to success in this role will be how you manage, motivate and train the staff you lead.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a very fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage staff and establishment while also maintaining professional, pleasant, and polite working relationships
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the hospitality industry.
  • Required to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as needed.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining a positive resort atmosphere.
  • Scheduling flexibility is available during off-season months (Oct-Feb.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing a team of 15+ employees.
  • Hospitality management degree or equivalent certification.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills

If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state driver’s license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. You must notify Human Resources immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing. CCMC may periodically review motor vehicle reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.

The physical requirements can vary, but generally, they may include:

  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 lbs.
  • Mobility: Ability to walk long distances on the grounds in various weather conditions.
  • Working conditions: Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather conditions (heat, humidity, wind).
  • Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
  • Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.
  • Driving: Ability to operate a vehicle to perform certain job functions. (Please note: We will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving status.)
