This premier active adult (+55) community offers an elevated lifestyle featuring extensive lifestyle and fitness programming, expansive open space, scenic trail systems, and a signature recreation lodge that serves as the heart of the community experience.

About the Role

The Executive Director serves as the operational and cultural leader of the community, responsible for delivering an elevated resident experience through exceptional hospitality, strategic leadership, and operational excellence. This role partners closely with the Board of Directors, Committees, Clubs, community volunteers, residents, and staff to cultivate a welcoming, engaging, and service-oriented environment.

The ideal candidate brings a hospitality mindset along with experience leading large-scale lifestyle, resort, club, or amenity-rich environments where customer service, team leadership, and community engagement are central to success.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Lead the overall operations, administration, financial management, and strategic direction of the community
  • Create and maintain a hospitality-focused culture centered around exceptional resident service and engagement
  • Oversee lifestyle amenities, recreation facilities, fitness operations, events, and resident programming to ensure a high-quality community experience
  • Build strong relationships with residents, Board members, committees, vendors, and community partners
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Board regarding governance, operations, long-range planning, and strategic initiatives
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentorship, employee engagement, and professional development
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise community staff while fostering a collaborative and service-driven work environment
  • Oversee service providers and contractors to ensure operational excellence and high standards across all amenities and facilities
  • Facilitate annual budgeting, reserve planning, financial reporting, and operational forecasting
  • Lead execution of Board-approved capital improvement and community enhancement projects
  • Ensure compliance with governing documents, policies, state regulations, and CCMC management standards
  • Promote a strong sense of community through meaningful resident engagement opportunities, events, and communications

The physical requirements can vary, but generally, they may include:

  • Mobility: Ability to walk the grounds long distances in various weather conditions.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lifting and carrying supplies or equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Extended Sitting or Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings or events.
  • Manual Dexterity: Skills in using technology, including computers and mobile devices.
  • Driving: Ability to operate vehicle to perform certain job functions. (Please note: We will request and review an MVR at the time of hire and on a periodic basis thereafter to ensure that employees maintain a satisfactory driving status.)

If driving is, or becomes, a requirement of the role, it is required, at all times, that you hold a valid state driver’s license for the class of vehicle you are driving, maintain a clean motor vehicle report, and hold current automobile insurance at statutory limits. You must notify Human Resources immediately regarding any change to your motor vehicle standing. CCMC may periodically review motor vehicle reports to ensure compliance with these requirements.
